The story behind the work — and why I never stop.
“I've been working since I was 17. At 30, I'm still just as motivated to learn and grow as day one.”
In my younger years, I knew I wanted to do something meaningful with my life — something that challenged me. When I discovered the Protection, Security & Investigations program at Loyalist College, I didn't hesitate. I went back to school, and it was the best decision I ever made. That diploma didn't just give me a career — it gave me direction.
My first real test came at Connor Homes, where I spent over six years as a Child and Youth Worker and Team Leader in a residential group home. I worked with youth facing serious challenges — Indigenous youth, kids with ODD, ADHD, FASD, and everything in between. That environment taught me crisis intervention, patience, adaptability, and how to stay calm when things get difficult. It's where I earned Employee of the Month, and more importantly, where I learned what it means to show up for people who need you.
From there, I moved into private investigation with Xpera Risk Mitigation & Investigation, where I've spent 7+ years leading insurance and corporate investigations — fraud detection, claim verifications, surveillance, and compliance audits. I also serve as a Dual Surveillance Supervisor at Shorelines Casino, where I'm a subject matter expert in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, gaming policy, and casino operations. I've been fortunate to be recognized there with both the Performer Award and Headliner Award.
On top of my investigation career, I own a web development company where I build websites and applications for clients. I taught myself to code because I genuinely enjoy building things, and I've been able to apply those skills in my investigation work — creating custom evidence management tools that helped my team process cases more efficiently.
Outside of work, I volunteer 7 hours a week to run Quinte Ball Hockey — an adult social league I started from scratch that's grown to over 300 lifetime players, making it the biggest in Belleville. I'm also a gym enthusiast and love sports, coding, expanding my knowledge, and following politics. I'm always working on becoming a better version of myself — there's always more to learn.

Skills get you the interview. Character gets you the career. Here's what my coworkers would tell you.
I work best when I'm part of a team. I enjoy collaborating, sharing ideas, and helping the people around me succeed.
If I say I'll do something, it gets done. Consistency matters to me — in my work, my commitments, and my relationships.
I like to bring positive energy wherever I go. Whether it's the workplace, the rink, or a project — I try to keep morale up and people engaged.
From group homes to casinos to courtrooms — I've worked in a lot of different environments and I'm comfortable adjusting to new challenges.
I taught myself to code, started a business, and built a hockey league — not because someone asked me to, but because I enjoy taking initiative and seeing what I can build.
Investigation work taught me that small details matter. I carry that same attention to detail into every project and every role.
